Signing Sam® is a multi-sensory learning tool that has helped to stimulate hundreds of children’s speech, language, literacy, cognition, social, and motor skills through sign language, songs, stories, and imagination. What Does Signing Sam® Do?

Currently, Signing Sam® works and plays with children in the USA, Great Britain, Mexico, and Africa. He can be found in:

• Public and private preschools
• Public and private elementary schools
• Speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy clinics
• Pediatric hospitals
• Counseling centers for children
• Homes and daycare centers

Signing Sam® is friends with many types of children! Some of them include children who are typically developing and children who have special needs. Some of Sam’s friends with special needs include children with:

• Cerebral Palsy
• Neurological Syndromes (Downs, Fragile X)

Signing Sam’s® Birthplace

Signing Sam® was born in Raleigh, NC at Project Enlightenment’s inclusive Demonstration Preschool in 2001. He was designed to hold the attention of 20 four-year-olds while they sang and learned sign language with Sam’s creator, Miss Amy. What happened that year was nothing short of amazing as all 20 of those children watched, listened, and learned! Signing Sam® has since captured the hearts, minds, and imaginations of many, many children worldwide. He has his own Sing and Sign DVD, Audio CD, ABC Poster, and books featuring Signing Sam® and the Critter Corner Friends. His story is only beginning!
